  1. The author should have uploaded a previous version of the article to the ArXiv. It is likely that this version was still not with the Compositionality latex template. You should ask the author to switch the article to the Compositionality latex template and submit files to you for a final check.
  2. Once the author sends you the files, you should assign a Volume and Issue number to the article. The Volume changes every year. The Issue number is the smallest positive natural number that is not already in use for that Volume. Once the Issue number is decided, it should be written to the relevant fields in the template; the DOI should also be written in the template accordingly.
  3. You may check that the paper is formatted correctly and that there are no font changes, color changes, or other changes that would disrupt the design guidelines of the journal. More generally, you may check for formatting errors. Optionally, you can check spelling errors, but these are left to the authors to check.
  4. At this point, send the source code back to the authors, and ask them to reupload to the ArXiv.
  5. Accept the article at EpiSciences.
